Senem Oezdogan (b. 1980) is a Brooklyn-based painter whose practice includes painting, drawing, and fiber art.

Her work focuses on the visual phenomenon of optical illusion through color, form, and contrast. Smooth gradients give a sense of volume to bold shapes and play with the juxtaposition of what the mind knows and the eye sees. Her use of spatial composition disrupts the foreground and background and constantly forces the viewer to re-orient their sense of perspective.
