Luke Diiorio (b. 1983) lives and works in Pennsylvania. Diiorio received his Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Lehigh University in Pennsylvania, and his Master of Arts in Painting from the Royal College of Art in London, UK.
Diiorio’s practice delves into materiality and visibility, engaging with minimalism and abstraction to investigate themes of repetition, seriality, and monochrome. Through these elements, Diiorio navigates the constraints that shape form and material, not with the intent to expand their potential but to cultivate an awareness of the boundaries that define them.
Solo exhibitions include Anat Ebgi, Los Angeles; Pippy Houldsworth Gallery, London, and Art Basel Hong Kong; Robert Blumenthal Gallery, New York. Group exhibitions include Super Dakota, Brussels; Kinman Gallery, London.
