Sarah Giannobile, b.1975, Parkridge, IL, is an abstract painter from St. Louis, Missouri. Giannobile's lyrical, abstract compositions emerge intuitively, drawing inspiration from dreams and memories of past experiences. Through layered, instinctive mark-making and repeated impressions of invented symbols, she has developed a unique visual language, refined and revisited over many years.
She holds a BFA from Webster University and both an MA and MFA from Fontbonne University. Giannobile also received a scholarship to study at the Anderson Ranch Arts Center, where she worked under the guidance of artist William Christenberry.
