BIOGRAPHY
Lane Walkup (b. 1987) is a sculptural artist based in Brooklyn, NY. Her body of work ranges from large scale installations to small wearable forms. Lane bends and welds steel into illustrative shapes, forming new stories by re-creating everyday objects. From forging steel to sewing recycled pantyhose, the artist has over thirteen years of experience creating sculptures in varying mediums. Walkup's work includes installations ranging from 27 ft, to bespoke creations, such as a pair of silver glasses featured in Beyoncé's recent album.
