Arden + White Gallery is thrilled to open 2025 with a duo exhibition featuring Brazilian artist Graziella Guardino, currently based in Australia and Brooklyn-based artist Senem Oezdogan.
Guardino’s work explores themes of minimalism, deconstruction, and materiality. Her work incorporates sweeping strands of linen and fractured canvases, which are meticulously reconstructed into elegant, sharply defined forms. Each work emphasizes a single color and shape, emphasizing the purity of material and form.
Oezdogan’s work, by contrast, is characterized by its precision and fluidity. Her compositions balance clean, uninterrupted lines with undulating, wave-like painted forms. Through her use of vibrant color palettes and harmonious movement, her work exudes a sense of rhythm.
Despite their differing approaches, both artists share a commitment to exploring the boundaries of abstraction. Their shared principles of simplicity, balance, and movement create a compelling dialogue between their works that feels distinct and deeply interconnected.
